On Feb. 27, Gordon & Rees Austin partner Jeffrey Lilly and associate Bradley Bush published an article in the IADC Product Liability Newsletter titled "Legal Issues for the Product Liability Blogger,” regarding intellectual property and potential legal issues they may be facing for infringing on and violating the rights of others.
Lilly and Bush state that “Blogging offers a number of opportunities, such as developing business, marketing and networking….[h]owever bloggers need to be mindful of the potential legal issues that can exist in the operation of their blogs.”
Lilly is a partner in the Austin office and a member of the firm's Drug & Medical Device practice group. He is also co-chair of the firm's E-discovery practice group and is chair of a task force comprised of members of IADC, FDCC, DRI and ADTA which advocates for reasonable e-discovery rules and the application and interpretation of same. Bush is an associate in the Austin office and a member of the firm’s Drug & Medical Device practice group.
