Dallas Office Wins Appeal in Professional Liability Case
A Dallas team headed by Co-Managing Partner
Bob Bragalone
recently secured a summary judgment against a Plaintiff in her malpractice lawsuit against her former attorneys, who had represented her in a personal injury case. On February 22, the Texas Fifth District (Dallas) Court of Appeals issued its decision in
Bryant v. Jeter
affirming that judgment. In addition to appealing the summary judgment, appellant complained of various procedural rulings by the trial court. In the brief opposing her appeal, Bob and Dallas Senior Counsel
Steve Lawson
argued, among other things, that appellant had not adequately preserved her issues for appellate review, and that the trial court's summary judgment was compelled by the record and the procedural setting. The Court of Appeals agreed with Bob and Steve and affirmed the trial court in all respects.
