James Valvano of the New Jersey/New York offices, and a multi-state team of Gordon & Rees attorneys, closed the complex transaction November 6 and 7, while much of the Eastern seaboard was still heavily impacted by the effects of Hurricane Sandy. After doing some excellent work on the matter, associate Brandon Carroll left the firm to join DR Horton, and as the deadline for closing neared, Natasha Chalmers stepped in and seamlessly brought the matter to a close with James Valvano. During the power outages in New Jersey and New York, Rich Clampitt, Mark Davis, and Mark Ozarski immediately began to assist on the matter during the weekend prior to closing. Concluding the transaction on time is a testament to Gordon & Rees's teamwork as we worked side-by-side with some of the larger law firms in the country in the course of this transaction.
