David Gersten, a partner in the Miami office of Gordon & Rees, is among a list of distinguished participants in an upcoming event, "A View From the Bench: SuperStars Mock Trial and Jury Selection". The mock trial will be held on February 12 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Coral Gables Country Club. Some of Florida's most experienced trial lawyers will provide instruction on how to further develop and refine your skills in opening statements, closing arguments, cross & direct exam, jury selection and depositions.
Gersten, a former Chief Judge in Florida's Third District Court of Appeal, is a partner in the Commercial Litigation practice group of Gordon & Rees’ Miami office. He represents clients in litigation and appeals in a multitude of areas, including commercial, labor, administrative, real estate, land use, and probate law. He strategically advises clients on honing their legal issues to navigate potential evidence and procedural obstacles with both trial and post-trial implications in mind. Additionally, Gersten often serves as a mediator and arbitrator in complex cases. In 2015, Mr. Gersten was awarded a Lifetime Achievement award by the Daily Business Review, for his outstanding service to the South Florida legal community.
