Brett Moroney is a San Francisco based litigation partner at GRSM with a practice that extends throughout the U.S. Brett handles complex civil matters in both state and federal courts where he specializes in defending corporate clients involved in product liability, tort, automobile, trucking, and transportation claims, employment, and business claims. Brett has also successfully defended clients involving claims by minors and adults alleging physical and sexual abuse. He has extensive experience in alternative dispute resolution, having mediated and arbitrated numerous cases throughout California. Brett is a member of the firm’s Tort & Product Liability, Employment, and Commercial Litigation practice groups. He represents clients in nearly every industry, including sports organizations, camps, teaching institutions, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, manufacturing, retail, hospitality, financial services, real estate, transportation, and construction.
Brett’s product liability experience includes a wide range of products and a focus on serving as National and Regional counsel in mass tort litigation. He also has extensive experience leading affirmative discovery teams, preparing and defending corporate clients and sales representatives in deposition, handling all aspects of expert discovery, overseeing and coordinating local counsel, implementing effective trial strategy, and the general defense of both MDL and state coordinated litigation in multiple states.
In the field of commercial litigation, Brett handles complex civil actions arising under California’s unfair competition law (B&P Code §17200), including consumer fraud suits and business disputes. He also has experience resolving many types of complicated and delicate disputes faced by all companies including disputes with vendors, disagreements between strategic alliance partners, and breach of contracts and leases.
