Gordon & Rees Connecticut Attorney Regen O’Malley was elected to the Connecticut Bar Association’s House of Delegates in June 2016. O’Malley ran for one of four open seats, competing in a pool of 12 nominees in her own District 12, which includes Hartford and 24 surrounding cities and towns.
O'Malley will serve a three-year term which begins July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2019. The new term coincides with her completed term as Chair of the Connecticut Bar Association’s Insurance Law Section, a position she has held for the past two years. Her new role on the House of Delegates will involve the development of policies for the Bar Association. The Connecticut Bar Association’s mission includes helping members grow their practice, promoting access to justice, reviewing legislation and devloping excellent educational opportunities for its membership.
Counsel in Gordon & Rees’s Hartford office, Regen O’Malley is a member of the firm’s Insurance and Retail & Hospitality practice groups. She was named a New England Super Lawyers “Rising Star” from 2009 through 2013 in insurance coverage. O’Malley concentrates her practice on providing counsel to insurers on complex coverage matters and on defending insurers against both contractual and extra-contractual claims. She also has substantial civil litigation/insurance defense experience, including complex litigation and employment litigation on behalf of employers.
