Farah joins the San Diego office as a member of the Employment Law practice group. Farah earned her J.D. from the University of Montreal and her B.S. from Concordia University.
Thierry joins the Reno office as a member of the Commercial Litigation practice group. He concentrates his practice in insurance work including coverage opinions, declaratory relief, interpleaders, defense of bad faith litigation, and life, health, disability, and ERISA litigation. Thierry was with his prior firm for more than 22 years after completing two years as lead counsel for Bristol Meyers Squibb's defense team handling the defense and settlement of over 150 individual plaintiff cases. Over the years, he has tried to verdict premises liability slip and falls; personal injury auto; professional legal malpractice cases; environmental class actions; commercial contract claims; and first party bad faith and first party disability insurance cases. He has experience in criminal defense and personal injury law. Thierry earned his J.D. from California Western School of Law and his B.A. from the University of California Los Angeles.
Shannon joins the Los Angeles office as a member of the Employment Law practice group. She defends companies of all sizes and industries in employment matters, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and wage and hour matters. She is experienced in all phases of employment litigation, including pre-claim investigation, trial, and appeal. She also regularly represents employers before State and Federal agencies, including the EEOC, the California Department of Fair Employment & Housing, and the Washington State Human Rights Commission. Shannon earned her J.D. from the University of Notre Dame and her B.A. from Seattle Pacific University.
John joins the Florham Park office as a member of the Commercial Litigation practice group. John clerked for the Honorable Michael E. Joyce in Camden County, New Jersey. Prior to joining the firm, he worked as an associate in the workers compensation practice group defending insurance carriers and third party policy administrators against claims. John earned his J.D. from Thomas R. Kline School of Law and his B.S. from West Virginia University.
Nicola joins the New York office as a member of the Employment Law practice group. His practice focuses on employment litigation in matters including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage and hour disputes. He has significant experience representing clients in New York and New Jersey federal and state courts, and advising clients on compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations. Nicola earned his J.D. from Penn State Law School and his B.S. from Vanderbilt University.
April joins the Denver office as a member of the Commercial Litigation practice group. She represents insurers in a variety of cases involving complex extra-contractual matters such as alleged bad-faith denials and coverage. She has also defended clients against various claims including, business disputes, personal injury, premises liability, and wrongful death. April earned her J.D. from the University of Colorado Law School and her B.A. from the University of Colorado.
Patrick joins the Sacramento office as a member of the Employment Law practice group. He focuses his practice on defending employers from lawsuits brought by current and former employees alleging harassment, discrimination, retaliation and wrongful termination. He has second chaired three jury trials and has taken and defended numerous depositions. He has also brought and opposed many dispositive motions. Patrick earned his J.D. from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law and his B.S. from the University of California, Davis.
Maiya joins the Irvine office as a member of the Commercial Litigation and Product & General Liability practice groups. She has experience practicing in a multitude of sectors, including appellate law, business litigation, and civil rights litigation. Prior to joining the firm, she practiced at a full service law firm in Irvine that focuses on a variety of legal disciplines. She previously held a position as a judicial extern for the Honorable Richard F. Suhrheinrich in the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Maiya earned her J.D. from Whittier Law School and her B.S. from Boston University.
Remo joins the Detroit office as a member of the Commercial Litigation practice group. He focuses his practice in various aspects of commercial litigation. Prior to joining the firm, his practice focused on defending insurance companies, primarily in the area of Michigan No-Fault litigation. He also gained extensive experience in the area of medical malpractice defense, having represented nursing homes at a large Detroit-based firm as well as hospitals and medical professionals at a boutique firm in nearby Warren. Remo earned his J.D. from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law and his B.A. from Michigan State University.
William joins the Charleston office as a member of the Commercial Litigation practice group. He has vast legal experience in both business transactions and litigation. He has a broad range of practice experience including Environmental, Toxic Tort, Commercial Litigation, Products Liability, Real Estate, and Business Transactions. He has represented clients in industries from construction, technology, medical, food & beverage, retail, design, manufacturing, and real estate. He also has extensive experience working with and advising public section agencies. He brings his diverse legal knowledge to advocating on behalf of his clients. William earned his J.D. from New York Law School and his B.A. from the University of California, Irvine.
Alejandro joins the Tampa office as a member of the Insurance practice group. He focuses on first party property claims representing insurance companies. Before joining the firm, Alejandro worked in the creditor’s rights industry representing financial institutions and private investors. His practice focused on Bankruptcy law where he practiced in all Florida Federal Courts and the United States District Court for the District of Puerto Rico. He also has experience in labor litigation. Alejandro earned his J.D. from the University of Puerto Rico School of Law and his B.A. from the University of Puerto Rico.
Rachael joins the Nashville office as a member of the Health Care and Commercial Litigation practice groups. Rachael earned her J.D. from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law and her B.S. from DePaul University, College of Commerce.
Kimberly joins the Atlanta office as a member of the Employment Law practice group. Kimberly earned her J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law and her B.A. from Howard University.
John joins the Los Angeles office as a member of the Insurance practice group. He represents insurers under a wide range of policies, including property, CGL, management liability, professional services, cyber and tech, and products designed specifically for the share economy. John renders coverage analysis and advises the firm’s insurer clients on their coverage and claims handling obligations. He also represents insurers involved in coverage and bad faith litigation. John earned his J.D. from Southwestern University School of Law and his B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Robert joins the Atlanta office as a member of the Commercial Litigation practice group. Robert earned his J.D. from the University of Georgia, School of Law and his B.S. from Georgia Southern University.
Sophia joins the San Diego office as a member of the Environmental/Toxic Tort and Product & General Liability practice groups. Sophia earned her J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law and her B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley.
Jeremy joins the Birmingham office as a member of the Commercial Litigation practice group. He has a diverse litigation practice in which he handles every phase of litigation from case investigation to litigating bench and jury trials. He has successfully argued motions and tried cases throughout Alabama. Jeremy also works with clients in pre-litigation investigations and with insurance coverage issues. Jeremy earned his J.D. from Samford University, Cumberland School of Law and his B.S. from Tennessee Temple University.
Alexandra joins the San Francisco office as a member of the Employment Law practice group. She focuses her practice on defending employers against claims of racial discrimination, disability discrimination, wrongful termination, and a variety of wage and hour violations. Alexandra earned her J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law and her B.A. from the University of California, Davis.
Frederick joins the Houston office as a member of the Commercial Litigation practice group. Frederick earned his J.D. from Hofstra University School of Law and his B.A. from Rice University.
Melissa joins the Denver office as a member of the Insurance practice group. She has over twenty-five years of litigation experience handling general liability defense and insurance. She has argued before the Colorado Court of Appeals, the Colorado Supreme Court and the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals in matters involving construction defect and insurance coverage litigation. She has drafted numerous articles to clients to alert them of significant changes in Colorado law as they occur and, at a former firm, co-authored a publication focusing on bad faith law across four jurisdictions (Colorado, Montana, New Mexico and Wyoming) to assist insurance clients with claim handling. Melissa earned her J.D. from the University of Colorado School of Law and her B.A. from the University of Colorado.
Joshua joins the Nashville office as a member of the Employment Law practice group. He has handled all types of employment litigation matters from EEOC charges and individual lawsuits, through complex class actions and FLSA collective actions. He has litigated Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FLSA, and Equal Pay matters from inception through trial. He also has extensive experience representing companies in protecting company assets and other confidential information, including trade secrets, and handling all aspects of non-compete and non-solicitation agreements and trade secrets matters. He often works with companies in drafting and enforcing non-compete and non-solicitation agreements. He also works with clients to draft, review and revise policies and procedures in employee handbooks and conducts counseling and training programs to cover employment law topics. Joshua earned his J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law and his B.A. from the University of Alabama.
