Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani associate Hannah Brown is the 2021 recipient of the Rising Attorney Award from the Federal Bar Association’s San Diego Chapter.
The Rising Attorney Award recognizes an outstanding attorney who has been admitted to the bar for no more than seven years. The recipient demonstrates a commitment to the legal profession through excellent advocacy and service to the legal profession, education, mentoring, and/or the community.
“Hannah is a promising intellectual property attorney,” said Susan Meyer, co-chair of the firm’s Intellectual Property Group. “Her receipt of the Rising Attorney Award is very well deserved.”
Brown is a member of the firm’s Intellectual Property practice group, working on a variety of intellectual property litigation matters, including patent, trademark, and copyright cases. She has experience in all phases of litigation in both state and federal courts, as well as at the appellate level.
“Hannah is an outstanding associate and we are lucky to have her in our office,” said Kevin Alexander, Managing Partner of the firm’s San Diego office.
Prior to joining Gordon & Rees, Brown was a law clerk for two federal court judges in San Diego, the Honorable Janis Sammartino and the Honorable Cynthia Bashant. During law school, Ms. Brown externed for the Honorable Marilyn Huff in the United States District Court for the Southern District of California and for the Honorable M. Margaret McKeown in the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. She also was a comments editor of the San Diego Law Review and competed in the Saul Lefkowitz Moot Court Tournament.
