Miami Partner David M. Gersten has been selected as a featured presenter for the 2024 Judicial Renaissance, hosted by the National Judicial College ("NJC") in conjunction with its Portuguese counterpart, the Centro de Estudos Judiciários, in Lisbon, Portugal on September 9–12, 2024.
In his presentation, Gersten will discuss artificial intelligence as it relates to judicial ethics. The Judicial Renaissance is a CLE/CJE and cultural enrichment program designed to deepen judges' collective understanding of justice, weaving it into the rich tapestry of human cultural accomplishments.
Gersten has also been invited to serve as an NJC delegate and present at the Exchange Programme, a judicial conference hosted by the National School of the Judiciary in Thessaloniki, Greece, in conjunction with the NJC and the European Judicial Training Network ("EJTN"), on September 16–20, 2024.
His presentation will explore the topics of social media and judicial ethics. EJTN delegates from several countries, including Italy, France, Germany, and Romania, will also participate. The Exchange Programme was created to allow European judges to gain knowledge of global judicial systems, exchange best practices with peers around the world, broaden their professional network, and improve their language skills.
Gersten, former Chief Judge in Florida's Third District Court of Appeal, is a Partner in the Commercial Litigation practice group of GRSM’s Miami office. He represents clients in litigation and appeals in a multitude of areas, including commercial, labor, administrative, professional liability, real estate, land use, and probate law.
