In a recent post-trial appeal before Florida's Third District Court of Appeal, the team not only upheld the substantial judgment but also secured all requested relief for their client.
The complex litigation unfolded across multiple jurisdictions, including Colombia, Panama, and Florida, spanning a nine-year period. The legal complexities were compounded by parallel criminal proceedings, culminating in a three-week jury trial in Miami. GRSM represented the appellee, an investor in three related entities who suffered systematic deprivation of their investment through a network of conspiracy and fraud involving a family member, multiple entities, foreign banks, and related commercial interests.
GRSM’s client was thrilled with this outcome after nearly a decade of hard-fought and highly acrimonious litigation.
Gersten, with over 30 years of judicial experience, including more than two decades at Florida's Third District Court of Appeal, where he also served as Chief Judge, led the legal strategy.
