In December, Gordon & Rees welcomed seven new attorneys to our Boise, Denver, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Sacramento, and San Francisco offices. They join us as members of the Commercial Litigation and Employment Law Practice Groups.
Hannah joins the Denver office as a member of the Employment Law practice group. Prior to joining Gordon & Rees, Hannah was a law clerk for the Utah Attorney General’s Office in the Litigation Division and interned with the Colorado State Personnel Board and a small employment and civil rights firm. Prior to and during law school, she worked at the Colorado Attorney General’s Office in the Business & Licensing Section. Hannah earned her J.D. from University of Denver Sturm College of Law and her B.A. from Calvin College.
Kathleen joins the Sacramento office as a member of the Commercial Litigation practice group. She has been a litigator for more than 13 years representing owners in a variety of industries and business sectors. She has experience prosecuting and defending claims on behalf of individuals and companies. Her favorite matters involve contracts and issues involving whether an agreement was breached, as well as in what ways. Kathleen earned her J.D. from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law and her B.S. from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.
Ryan joins the San Francisco office as a member of the Employment Law practice group. He is an experienced litigator and has handled matters in a broad range of employment issues including wage and hour, employee harassment, wrongful termination, and independent contractor misclassification. In addition to employment law, Ryan has also worked extensively in the areas of landlord/tenant, premises liability, and Lemon Law liability. Ryan earned his J.D. from the William Howard Taft School of Law and his B.A. from Rutgers University.
Matthew joins the Philadelphia office as a member of the Commercial Litigation practice group. He concentrates his practice on mortgage lending law and credit and collections law, with a focus on contested mortgage foreclosures as well as the defense of creditors, debt buyers, debt collectors and attorneys in actions arising under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act and the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. His practice involves the defense of individual and class actions, frequent court appearances, motion practice, oral argument, settlement negotiations, depositions and other discovery. He also advise clients on compliance matters, helping them minimize potential liability while maintaining productivity. Matthew earned his J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School and his B.A. from the University of Wisconsin.
Ikedi joins the Los Angeles office as a member of the Employment Law practice group. He has experience at the state and federal level defending private clients against claims of discrimination, retaliation, harassment, wrongful termination, and other adverse employment actions. He also has experience defending employers in individual and class action matters involving wage and hour claims and PAGA actions. Ikedi earned his J.D. from Pepperdine University School of Law and his B.A. from West Chester University of Pennsylvania.
John joins the Sacramento office as a member of the Employment Law practice group. His practice focuses on employment litigation, including the representation of employers and management in all aspects of employment law such as administrative and civil claims for wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and alleged wage and hour violations. His practice also includes other types of civil litigation, including personal injury, premises liability, elder abuse, and medical malpractice. John earned his J.D. from the University of Notre Dame Law School and his B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Vicky joins the Boise office as a member of the Commercial Litigation practice group. She maintains a broad litigation practice. Her experience includes representing construction contractors in contract, defect, and worksite accident matters, representing clients in product and premises liability cases, handling various types of personal injury matters, and defending clients against professional liability claims as well as employment matters. Vicky earned her J.D. from Pepperdine University School of Law and her B.A. from Stanford University.
